Menswear Spring 2009

Before we begin. This is a post relating to Fall/Winter of 08/09

I know it might be a little early, but there are already Youtube videos with the Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

Colour trends this spring are more of the spring colours in a darker hue and much more romantic than lasts spring, but there's a little splash of light colours and an obvious appearance of white.

According here, materials are more high end and a little soft featuring cows, lambs, and calf. Yet it also says that the thematic message is more carefree, in love, monastic, yet turbulent and worrying. There is also a big chunk of Blue and Green.

DG: Dolce and Gabbana, Dolce and Gabbana, and Versace are great selections and inspopirations for your Spring/Summer wardrobe.

D&G : Dolce and Gabbana did a French Riviera theme treading the line between casual and formal and somewhat making a resurrection of the bow tie and big eye wear.

Dolce and Gabbana (1&2) Copied a little from D&G, but put in a pajama theme, oriental prints, and an English supermodel who blows her top most of the time.

Versace did a series of very interesting and simple cuts, colours, and design. I just love it that way. (the runway songs were from TingTings)

According to men.style here are the 10 spring looks:
1)Doze Guys. The good in this is that you can wake up wearing your work clothes!

Emporio Armani and Roberto Cavalli

2)Eastern Promises- Something Oriental and Safari-like

Etro and Hermes

3)making the Gradient- Gradually from morning to evening wear!

Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Miharayasuhiro, and Raf Simons

4)Gone Gingham (yarn dyed cotton cloth)- Something from the 50's or 40's, goes great with bow ties

Junya Watanabe

5)Breast IN Show (cross-dressing with manliness still intact) - this is something very difficult to carry

McQueen, Givenchy, J. Watanabe, and Prada

6)The Pink Stuff

Jil Sander, Luis Vuitton, Salvatore Ferragamo, Yves Saint Laurent

7)White Out

Dries Van Noten and Kilgour

8)Micro Pattern

BURBERRYP RORSUM and Moschino

8)Cuff Crowd. Cuffs for shorts and sleeves

Richard Chai

9)The wide stripes

Dries Van Noten, Gucci, and Junya Watanabe
