Honestly, I was really irritated when I saw it on live television.
Bb. Pilipinas Candidate Janina San Miguel making a whole fool out of herself damaging her school's pride, by having the most horrifying answer to one of the simplest questions. It's not the English, I can take that. It's how she treated the question.
She's a Broadcast Communication student from the University of the East. I was more shocked when I heard that.
The most insulting and unprofessional thing she did was she reasoned out that she's seventeen and it was her first time in the Binibining Pilipinas. Totally unprofessional.
She might not know that after that fatal disaster, she will be the center of all tirade and ridicule of people who have access to the internet, digital TV, and broadband.
densemodesto made a dancemix of that episode, everyone made a fool out of her and were disgraced.
Channel 2 made a good report (with mocking on the side) out of her with a (short) statement from Former Miss International Melanie Marquez that she has the right to slip up because she's beautiful, and 'wise' words from Ruffa Gutierrez who points out that she needs to excel and prove herself that she can be the rightful one for the job.
Beauty with a purpose and beauty with brains
-Ruffa Gutirez
Tell that to her mom.
Channel 7 made a very heartwarming, inspirational, and considerable report about her. They stressed in second chances and the need to improve thyself and show her fellow Filipinos that she has the right to be BBP World.
After watching these two set of reports... Are they battling it out again?
With that aside. I really should congratulate her for her guts, and taking it out as a woman. Who knows? She might be better next time and this incident will be nothing but a memory.... an unforgettable one.
I guess this is another test to our fellow noypi people out there... Which is it: Support of Sipot?!
Let's just wish that she doesn't do that in Miss World 2008 at Kiev, Ukraine.
