Media Congress 2007!

The good news is, being a member of the student school publication I am in for free.
Bad news: No certificate.

Let me start with my morning.

When I woke up, I really don't want to go to school all dressed up in the uniform because it's all hassle for me..... When I was doing a morning business in the bathroom I cursed upon myself and asked: Would I really want to pass up a chance in meeting the bigwigs of the corporate media world?!

Then thats when I snapped, I quickly finished my business and took a bath. After taking one, my News editor tested me that I need to be there as a part of the News section and cover this event and then travel and whatever.

I made it before the registration time ended, that was around 8:30, but to my dismay I need to register and the newsgroup was not given any privileges to be there for free.... Damn.

Whatever, at least I have a seminar certificate for the 1st Coca-Cola Barkada Center for News Network.

The opening remarks were by Mayor Alfredo Lim, Lydia B Echauz, and Eugenio Lopez III, then there were speeches from the regulators of the media people, one representative from each , from National Telecommunications, MTRCB [Member, Movie & Television Review & Classification Board], KPB [Kapisanan ng mga Broadcasters ng Pilipinas], and the Optical Media Board, who was absent. the Moderator was Cheche Lazaro.

At this point, I almost killed myself of thinking that thought I thought about earlier.

Then there was a talk of other speakers and other whatevers that even if they're so sensfull and so thought provoking, they're inevitably boring and because the FEU Theater Guild did their presentation so long, the seminar went fast tract because of shortness of time.

Then there was lunch.....

Then the talks went over again....

Then It's done....

It was a spectrum of speakers and I really love to talk all about it after the two day thing and after I've been bombarded to give out a detailed entry about each and everyone's speeches......
